About Us

All about us or how to contact us

Usually people like to refer to us as Mr and Mrs Bazza

Younger versions of us
This is a photo of us taken quite a few years ago. Today we are just a bit older and greyer.

We can be found at the marketplaces around Waikato (namely Gordonton, Raglan and Tamahere and now at the Hamilon Farmers Market) where our toys are available to view, buy – and be played with!

Now we have our webpage we are able to take orders online, and will ship our toys nationwide!

We started selling our toys at markets around Easter 2012.

Considering we had never been ones to go to markets as customers it may seem strange that we became vendors at markets.

I still remember our very first market at Raglan. Talk about 2 greenhorns starting out. But we thoroughly enjoyed it and the interaction with customers.

We hadn’t realised just how addictive markets could be and got got bitten by the “market bug”.

Over the years we have learned a lot and our range of toys continues to grow. We often look back and have a giggle at some of our earlier market photos. But looking back is good, because we can see how we have grown and how much we have learned along the way.

Bazza works full time making toys in his workshop (dawn to dusk and sometimes into the wee hours of the night).

What started as a hobby has grown into a full time job very quickly.

Bazza really enjoys making toys and is constantly full of new ideas for toys which start up in the drawing board in his mind and quickly end up under construction in his workshop.

Sometimes Bazza says there are just not enough hours in his day to do all he wants.

Mrs Bazza (me) works part time doing accounts for a packaging company.

In my spare time I create pegdolls and butterfly bookmarks which are also on sale at the markets.

I also am in charge of this webpage construction and doing the accounting  book work for our small business.

I enjoy accompanying Bazza to the markets and enjoy the interaction with children as much as he does. I suppose this is because we really like children and enjoy seeing their reactions and pleasure when interacting with our toys.

Previously we had worked with children in church circles running Sunday school classes so I suppose it was inevitable that when we were looking to build a small business for when we retired that it would involve children.

I think one of the reasons we get on so well with parents at the markets is that they sense our love of children is genuine and we really are interested in their children and seeing them enjoy our toys.

We have made many friends at the markets both with other vendors and with our customers, with many parents returning on a regular basis to buy more toys or just drop in to say hi or let us know how popular a toy was that they bought for a present.
